We just moved into a house with a gas fireplace in the bedroom. While I've loved having that, the thermostat that controls it is right up against the door jamb and quite awkward to turn on and off. I had accepted it, but then one day I came across this remote control kit. The solution to my problem I never knew existed! It was actually much easier to set up than I was expecting. I just had to put a few batteries in the box and then plug in the two leads to my fireplace unit. I did have to pair the remote but that only took a minute.Now, I can turn my fireplace on and off from the comfort of my bed.

This remote kit only takes about 5 minutes to install. It is incredibly simple and easy for anyone to use no complicated buttons or anything to deal with other than this on and off. The battery compartment is secure and holds the batteries well for the control box. It's literally just hooking up two spade connectors on your valves terminal block. This will only work for millivolt systems. It's priced about 1/3 of what an OEM replacement costs and works just as good. The range is great and works from just about anywhere in a large room and even without pointing it directly at the fireplace.

This remote controller for fireplaces is just what I was looking for. I wanted to integrate my fireplace into my smart home, but the previous remote I had operated on a strange frequency. This remote controller operates on the RF 315 GHz standard, which is compatible with my Broadlink Universal Smart Home remote, so now I can send RF signals to my fireplace using voice controls in Google Home. "Hey Google, light the fire!" I'm sure this works with Alexa too. Just keep in mind that it is not smart out of the box - you will need the Broadlink Universal Remote to send commands through Google/Alexa. Great find!

Cheap and does the same thing

The item came very quickly but did not fit with my gas log fireplace. I am needing to return the item. thanks Charlene

This remote is a nice kit. Haven't got to fully install it yet due to needing a different gas valve but this kit but the wires an box seam to be made very well good connections and good castings I would recommend this. My only thing is make sure that the fire place has an electric capable gas valve

This gas fireplace remote control kit worked well for adding remote functionality to a simple gas fire insert. Installation was straightforward, and it integrated easily with the millivolt valve system without much hassle.The on/off remote works as expected and makes it much more convenient to control the fireplace without having to manually operate it. The components seem decent quality, and everything responded properly during use.I haven’t had it installed long enough to comment on long-term reliability, but so far it’s working well and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

My old remote control box died so we couldn't use it. This is a perfect replacement. Easy to install it seems almost just like the one that came with my gas log set. Back in business hope it lasts a long time. Recommend.

This was very easy to install and worked exactly as expected. Having a remote instead of relying on a wall switch makes it much more convenient to control the lights, especially from across the room. Everything feels well-made, and the performance and battery life have been reliable so far. For the price, it's an excellent value and a great upgrade for added convenience.
